It's time again...

to revive my blog with a couple of  defibrillators.

So since Semester 2 has started, I've done one model so far.

I'm proud to say that all 3 lecturers who commented on our work liked it.
Not love, liked.
So maybe I'll get a strong B, an A- if possible xD

Basically we wee suppose to do an abstract art for our first assignment.

Me and my teammate thought- Hey, let's do something interactive instead of some boring old random painting with mixed meanings.

And so we came up with this 3D piece of art that gives 2 meanings when alternating between it being open, and it being closed.

And yes, our work can freaking move and is interactive :D


So basically our assignment was to convey what we felt to the site and the issues that can be addressed.

So, we decided to come up with a 2 part artwork which consist of when the artwork was closed and when it was opened.

When the artwork is opened, the spiral formation tells our journey on the trail which leads ultimately to the center (the highest point) that would be our site.

Our journey was a treacherous one with cliffs that did not have guard rails and the road was uneven with potholes and defects. 

The blue trails portrayed our curiosity that propelled us to seek our site despite our dangerous journey.

The fins are present to give the illusion of movement that is required to show the journeys direction.

But when the model is closed, it shows the issues that we have pinpointed, mainly the site's safety issue.

It was exposed to a 30 foot drop which explains the cluster of sharp objects that concentrate on a certain spot when the model is folded.

This gives a look of immense danger.

It wasn't all work and no play for me.

It never is :D

Went out with Crystal and JiaYing for a PICNIC in a park near Crys's place :)
The place was awesome, coupled with awesome company, made that day really awesome xD

Haven't been updating much recently just because the biggest word in my dictionary keeps popping up :)

So anyways, I was feeling very enthusiastic about updating all of a sudden :D
so i guess that's bad luck for the rest of you who actually suffer through my blog xD

Just got back into university and started with my semester two of my most-freaking-awesomest course in the world. But before any of that, I was on holiday xD

The holiday was in one word - fun :)

Did random stuff the whole of the hols.

Hanging out with my brothers from other mothers. Had an awesome time with you guys.
Cause Haans came back from oh-so-far Australia, we had to gather up the gang and actually go some place xD
And that some place was... wait for it... *drumroll*

Besides Langkawi, I also managed to randomly go to genting for a one day trip.

And so we went to genting the morning itself. Had a blast doing it

And I went to Bon Odori, for those of you who don't know what Bon Odori is, its a festival celebrating the Japanese Culture and Dance. (From what I know lar, maybe its wrong >.<)
Went there because a very good friend of mine wanted to go, and we teman-ed her :)

Its basically a festival where people dress up in kimonos, yukatas and any other japanese traditional outfits you can find.

There were people dancing with fans together with the main performance which has drums and dancers in beautiful kimonos.

But I took it off very soon afterwards. Don't ask me why xD

And my very very very old friend Yong Hui came to join us xD
She looks pretty in that yukata :D
Cause she just took off her braces at the time, she talked funny xD

To me, the celebration was so-so only, but the company was as awesome as usual if not more :D

After all that fun, its making me not want to go back to uni :(
I'm gonna miss all the people I've spent time with throughout the hols, you know who you are, we spent some really amazing times ;)

Speaking of which, this week was my first week of uni

and omfg, first Design class and our lecturer said, let's go to Genting...

Then he go and potong stim say that we're only going to the Mushroom Farm =.=
Wtf, just potong like that...

Summore we're not going there to eat... We're by-passing the Farm and going to an abandoned road to WALK 6km to an abandoned site..

Anyways, its gonna be interesting, and we're suppose to create a building or rest stop somewhere along the deserted road and at the site itself.

My other classes seem easy and we have one class per day, but the work loads gonna be double if not triple our last sem's according to our seniors.
I guess we'll be needing those free time to study and build models >.<
