Did you know that...

MY HOLIDAYS ARE FINALLY HERE~~~!!!

IM SO HAPPY~~~ DAMN HYPER~~~ MUAHAHAAHAH xD

So here are some things I did during my 16+ weeks of my Bachelor of Science (Honors)(Architecture) course
:D

ARCHITECTURAL SKIN~~

Not really a model... Let's call it a wearable model :D
Very retarded assignment... Its not called an ice breaking assignment for nothing...

HIDE AND PEEP MODEL~~

We were suppose to hide there and peep at the view...
Credits to my group who painstakingly cut all the small bits. (Yea, its not one whole piece)

CELEBRATION MODEL~~

This has to be the shiniest model I've done so far...
For people to celebrate stuff under it... And also interact with it when its near...
When the wind blows it can actually spin :D

Kudos to my team.. The lecturer loved our work :D

1:1 SCALE MODEL A.K.A. VERY FREAKING HUGE MODEL~~

We folded 20,000 (thats 20 k) pieces of magazine paper... Now every time I touch magazines I feel nostalgic.

These are the people who made it happen :)

Same as the 'hide and peep' model, it's made up of smaller parts (modular units)... twenty-freaking-thousand of them...

Next semester remind me to throw the pieces one by one at my team leader...

SAINT PAUL'S CATHEDRAL~~

Made entirely out of balsa wood... Slowly cut and paste every detail and corner of the building...
Took a team of 6 people 4 days to finish it... One of our finest, in terms of finesse, models yet... :D

PRIVATE MEDITATION AND VIEWING MODEL~~
SOMEONE wanted to see this so here I am posting it up :)

You can meditate in the dark room...

Watch the sunrise from the upper level...
(first person view of sunrise)

One of the hardest models I've done so far... Just because the walls have thickness and they are curved, the outside wall and the inside walls were all different in shape...
6 walls = 24 different surfaces to cut... That's not the hard part yet...
The hard part was that every wall had to be cut by trail and error...
In the end, the amount I had to cut, I could have done 2 models... It was that hard...
Had 4 near death experiences in this model alone...
Like I said, one of the hardest...
Then again, it's one of the model's I'm most proud of because of the personal effort I put in... :D

So that's it, whatever i show here was just 30% of what I've experienced in my 1st semester of degree, the rest is boring stuff like history, paperwork and exams, and also fun stuff like jokes, OMG moments and WTF moments that cant be written or shown in picture.

And there u have it, the past 16 weeks of my life in 15 mins :D

Now I really deserve a holiday :)

*hint hint*

Don't emo lar.. You emo, I'll also emo :(

26.6.10

In a small way...

Our architecture course is like the "Saw" movie series... Why would you think we'd call it architorture?

Well, I'll give u the "fun" fact and you can just tell for yourself xD

F.F(Fun Fact) 1.
Quantity.
Saw has SIX (freaking) movies until now... the longest movie series so far... Of course Harry Potter will have 7... >.<
And our whole course is 6 semesters long... One for every movie...

F.F 2.
Villains.
There is a few guys who plot what type of riddles/tortures we have to go through. A.k.a The main villain engineer, the girl protege, the other guy who follows Saw...

So, let me introduce you to our lecturers! Mr. Kid, Mr. Ooi, Ms. Suja, Mrs. Salvi... and not forgetting the ones who best resembles Saw... Mr. Edwin Chomen. Who freaking gives us the hardest assignments.

F.F 3.
Victims.
In every Saw film there are people who get tortured whether its in a group or solo...

These people are US.

F.F 4.
Drama.
Some people in the movie try to work together, others think that going solo is the only way and not forgetting the leeches. Either way, there is massive amounts of backstabbing and quarrelling.

Our course has its share of drama.. like the movie there are people who go solo, those who want to work together, the people who leech off others in group work and those who work together just to stab you in the back... Not saying any names la, but you know who you are.

F.F 5.
Death.
In every Saw movie, there are people who do not make it to the end... and even if they do, they will die in the next movie. Only the strong ones survive the death game.

Well, our course has a drop out rate of 66%... So like the movie, those who don't drop out this semester, might drop out the next. Only the few will make it to the final semester. So far, from my foundation course of 70 people, I only saw 30 people in degree... Wonder how many will drop out this sem?

F.F 6.
Sleep. (or rather the lack of it)
In all the Saw movies. No one sleeps. think about it, no one gets tortured in their sleep.. this is not Freddy's world...

Just like the movie... We don't sleep... at least for a few assignments :D
Just last 3 days, I didn't sleep for 50+ hours.

So there you are... just a few things to show you we're living in a Saw universe of our own...

Muahahahahaahhahahaah

24.6.10

In architecture...

Our work place can only be described in one word - MESSY

Masking tape is used as plasters...

In this case, blister preventers xD

We (HAVE TO) carry 4 things with us at all times.

i) Box to protect model. (yellow)
ii) Large bag for stationary, materials. (Black)
iii) Extra bag for other stuff. (Black with logo)
iv) T square

"Extra bag" MUST at all times have the following...

Sweater.. obvious reasons... extra shirt, handphone charger, towel, and other precious and important stuff.

Last but not least...
In architecture, we sleep in the afternoon for 2 hours an work through the night :)

(Thats my cousin Shaun btw... I was unconscious... i think he and my bro pakat  =.=)

Good night people... the time now is 5 in the afternoon... Zzzzzz

19.6.10

Have you ever met someone who...

Wears his heart on his sleeve,

Appreciates the smallest things,

Says that a good deed should be passed along,

Cares for the ones he love,

Doesn't think rom-coms are specific to gays and girls only,

Prefers Pink over Green,

Dreams big,

Is completely optimistic,

Tries his best at everything he does,

Enjoys a walk in the rain every once in awhile,

Leaps before he looks,

Remains

Reminds others why they should live for the future instead of looking back at the past,

Creates awkward situations just to see how people handle them,

Respect others,

Assumes he can change the world with every good action he makes,

Puts being happy and broke before rich and sad any day of his life,

Laughs at failure because it thought him something,

Calls people awesome because it's the truth,

Does a random act of kindness,

Thinks friends are the most important,

Prevents fights,

Fights for what he believes in,

Sings like no one is around,

Imagines a better world,

Decides to have morals in life,

Can drink and don't drive,

Believes in Good triumphing over Evil,

Acts randomly just to make people smile,

Splurges on friends and saves money on himself,

Feels that in every person there is some good,

Stands up for what he thinks is right,

Considers a smile to be the most powerful thing in the universe.

P.s. Toy Story 3 - Most. Awesome. Movie. Ever.
